Mezikulturní dialog. Slovinské stopy v českém prostředí

Alenka Jensterle Doležal

The monograph brings thirteen studies by Alenka Jensterle Doležal focused on Slovenian literature and Slovenian-Czech relations. The contributions in the first part examine various areas of intercultural communication between two small Slavic nations in the context of the Central European area and focus on the influence of Slovenian intellectuals in the Czech environment. The studies in the second part of the monograph show the intermingling of the cultural and literary context of Slovenians and Czechs in a diverse period against the background of Central European processes. They focus more on the Slovenian side and focus on the image of Slovenian literature in the Slovenian, Czech and generally Central European context at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and in the first half of the 20th century. The monograph captures the phenomena between the center and the periphery of the former Austria-Hungary and brings a probe into the life of Slovenian and Czech literature within the cultural interaction of small Slavic literatures and cultures in Central Europe in the first half of the 20th century.
