The joint publication entitled Shake, don’t stir! Between Literary Scholarship and Cultural Studies was published on the occasion of the 60th birthday of the literary scholar, historian and theorist of popular culture and columnist Peter A. Bílek. The book opens with a short story by the poet and prose writer Sylva Fischerová The burial will be necessary. This is followed by works of a scholarly or essayistic nature, which touch in various ways on different areas of the honoree’s professional interest, especially in the field of narratology and pop culture, within which Bílek’s professional activity in the recent years can be considered as initiatory in the domestic environment.
