Vojtěch Kinter
This book examines the relationship between the philosophies of Friedrich Nietzsche and Ladislav Klíma. The author is critical of Klíma’s popular label “Czech Nietzsche” which is at least conceptually anchored in scientific discourse about Klíma and explicitly used in a broader context. By criticizing the label, the author explores the extent of Nietzsche’s influence on Klíma and gives an answer to the old question of the novelty of Klíma’s philosophy. The author’s approach consists of two main steps. First, there is a critical review of the recent scientific discussion of Klíma’s philosophy. Second, confrontation of texts by Klíma and Nietzsche which show high levels of similarity.
