This study primarily focuses on the issues of circulation and various methods of appropriating calligraphic practices within the framework of transnational art history, as well as Czech art after 1948. Inspirations from the area of calligraphy have also contributed significantly to the development of interdisciplinary approaches, particularly in the context of the search for common ground between painting and poetry, primarily in the development of visual poetry, though also in the combining of fine art with music, dance and film.
